ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the performance of axial-pattern composite tissue flap in the repair of skin defects after lip cancer resection. Methods From July 2012 to December 2017,8 patients with lip cancer were enrolled from Department of Dermatology, the Second Hospital of Jilin University. After lip tumor resection, the full-thickness defects were as long as 1/3 to 1/2 length of the lip,and were repaired with axial-pattern composite tissue flaps based on labial arteries. Results All the axial-pattern composite tissue flaps survived after the surgery.During the follow-up of 6 months to 5 years,no tumor recurrence was observed in the 8 patients, the shape and function of lips were improved, and the patients were satisfied. Conclusion Skin defects after lip cancer surgery can be repaired with axial-pattern composite tissue flaps based on labial arteries, which can restore the anatomical structure and aesthetic function of the lip well.

ABSTRACT

@#ObjectiveTo observe the protective effect of high-dosage methylprednisolone (MP) after lumbar spinal stenosis operation. Methods20 Patients with lumbar spinal stenosis accepted laminectomy. The treatment group (11 cases) received MP 30 mg/kg when the skin incised, and followed with MP 40 mg twice a day for 3 d after operation. The control group (9 cases) received MP 40 mg twice a day for 3 d after operation. They were assessed with JOA scale before and after operation. ResultsThe JOA score was (9.25±2.12) and (9.53±2.10) in treatment group and control group before operation (P>0.05), and was (13.43±2.01) and (11.21±2.13) 1 week after operation (P<0.05), (14.62±2.15) and (13.04±2.11) 3 months after operation (P<0.05). The neurological symptom deteriorated in 1 cases of control group. No peptic ulcer, poor wound healing or other associated complications has been found. ConclusionHigh-dosage methylprednisolone may protect the spine cord intraoperative the lumbar spinal stenosis.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To introduce experiences of cosmetologic reparation after malignant nasal cutaneous tumor resections.METHODS Cutaneous flap was chosen to reconstruct 37 cases of defects after nasal malignant tumor resection according to their area, shape and site,in which basal cell carcinoma were 25 cases, squamous cell carcinoma were 12 cases, respectively.Nasal cutaneous defects rangeed from 0.8 cm?0.8 cm to 5.0 cm?4.0 cm.The flap came from diamond flap 9 cases, from nasolabial island flap 15 cases, from subcutaneous pedicel flap 13 cases,by which to supply directly pulling saturation of flap area. RESULTS All cutaneous flaps of 31 cases survived with primary healing;nasal appearances were good and no malignant tumor recurred after 1-18 months follow up.CONCLUSION Employ local cutaneous flap with color and texture matched to cosmetologic reconstruction of defects after nasal malignant tumor resections are capable of reach satisfied clinical effect.
